Richard Grainger presents Fisheries Chronicles, a concept to develop an automated procedure for preparation of Indicators of Fishery Development Status based on catch trend analysis (see presentation on BSCW). Cluster analysis is the manual part + slicing. Summary plots: Serge took it further in regions. Procedure: extraction of TS, grouping according to shapes, phase analysis and summary plots Make available to selected users RFBS for testing and refinement Coul be applied not only to catch time series (trade, fish stats) Benefits: - more use and analysis of partners’ datasets, - improved quality in terms of feedback, - Indicators of fisheries status to improve reporting on progress, - promotion of collaborative development and refinement of analyticalmethodologies and tools.
