September 2013 validation comments

Validation is related to complete EA-CoPCommunity of Practice. VREVirtual Research Environment.'s or similar large components. It is NOT testing.

CLM has yet to result in a complete servicing of code list from the EA-CoPCommunity of Practice. perspective. Important progress has been reported in P2, yet a complete VREVirtual Research Environment. or other code list management environment has yet to be delivered.

The 2012 ICIS validation resulted in several high-level requirements, which were accepted by iMarine and resulted in development efforts on key services for Tabular Data Management and Tabular Data Flow Management. In FAO a collaboration has started to exploit these services and link them to code list management in a separate component called Cotrix. Once these key components become availble (Q4 2013) another validation round will be organized.
