Meeting with ESS representatives.

The FAO statistical department expressed their interest to contribute to a project to manage code lists in use for statistical data management.

Some example use cases:

• Manage a list of codes in a multi-user environment, both the list level and individual codes.
• Manage the mapping between 2 code lists;
• Manage harmonization and validation of statistical data sets.

The ESS representatives see the effort within a wider MDM approach, and require full control of the activity, which implies it has to be performed using FAO resources and development paradigms.

A period to define the activities until the next iMarine Board was agreed.
