This page intends to summarize the services in the process to be shared by data providers with the Geospatial Cluster.

FAO

Category Description Links
Data Discovery FAO GeoNetwork - CSW2 Service
Data Access FAO aquatic species distribution collection WMSSee Workload Management System or Web Mapping Service./WFSWeb Feature Service services, directly accessible through service metadata (see theData Sources wiki page), and dataset metadata.
Data Access Geographic Intersections and Relationships WMSSee Workload Management System or Web Mapping Service./WFSWeb Feature Service services, directly accessible.
Data Processing FAO-FIGIS has set up a WPS server to host a set of specific WPS processings required for its Spatial Data Infrastructure needs, and would like to investigate in the future the process sharing through WPS service metadata.

Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layers for Tuna Atlas use case named "tuna_atlas"

  • Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layer for indicator 1 & 2 WFSWeb Feature Service "tuna_atlas" layer named "i1i2" [metadata]metadata
  • Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layer for indicator 3 WFSWeb Feature Service "tuna_atlas" layer named "i3" [1]
  • Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layer for indicator 4 WFSWeb Feature Service "tuna_atlas" layer named "i4" [2]
  • Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layer for indicator 5 WFSWeb Feature Service "tuna_atlas" layer named "i5" [3]
  • Sardara WFSWeb Feature Service layer for indicator 6 & 7 & 8 WFSWeb Feature Service "tuna_atlas" layer named "i6i7i8" [4]
Data Processing Data processings are provided to Terradue through OGC compliant descriptions taken from IRD own WPS server. Among other possible applications they will be used to replicate the Tuna Atlas. The indicators / processes related to Tuna Atlas use case are the following:
  • Tuna Atlas Indicators:
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 1 (done): For a given species catches per ocean per year (see example here). OGC description available here [5]
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 2 (done): For a given species, catches per ocean per gear type (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 3 (done): For a given species and a given year, catches per month and per gear (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 4 (done): For a given species, catches per year, per month and per ocean (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 5 (ongoing): For a given species, number of CWP squares with related catches per year and per square size (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 6 (done): For a given species, catches per 5° square (see example here). OGC description available here [6]
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 7 (done): For a given species, relative part of the catch on each 5° square compared with the total catch (= for all squares) (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 8 (ongoing): For a given species, relative part of the catch relative part of the catch on each 5° square compared with total catches of all tuna species on the square (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 9 (ongoing): Mean relative distribution of size frequencies by school type (see example here). OGC description available here []
    • Tuna Atlas Indicator 10 (ongoing): Relative distribution of size frequencies by decade (see example here). OGC description available here []
  • Density indicators:
    • Density indicator 1 (done): can be applied to species distribution (FAO, OBIS, IRD...) relevant for tracking data as well. The related R code comes form kernelUD [7].
