Introduction

The goal of the data access and sharing policies is to implement the Governance Model for secure and confidential access to resources and services, in a context where data sharing opportunities is exacerbated.

The development of data policies here focuses on meeting demands that exists in the EA-CoPCommunity of Practice. and build on the services provided by Infrastructure Policies.

The discussion in the EA-CoPCommunity of Practice. is documented in the iMarine Board Channel, where the CoPCommunity of Practice. has been equipped with a document area and a discussion forum to facilitate an informal yet confidential discussion for 'members only'.

The outputs of that discussion are documented here, for comments by the Project Implementation partners of the consortium.

Why Data Access and Sharing Policies?

The policies aim to guarantee the integrity of all data populating iMarine and to maximize their utilization through clear sharing rules, while preserving the original policy settings.

Resources

  • A first draft of the Data Access and Sharing Policy document was presented at the first iMarine Board meeting in Rome, 19 March 2012. It is available on the BSCW.
  • A second draft of the Data Access and Sharing Policy document was presented at the second iMarine Board meeting in Rome, October 2012. It is available on the BSCW.
  • The live document, for the time being compiled as a GoogleDoc, containing the latest improvements can be accessed upon request.
