The management and operation of the data e-infrastructure in based on a set of procedures:

  • Deployment: the procedure to manage the installation and upgrade of the infrastructure resources
  • Certification: the procedure to verify if all nodes of the infrastructure are certified
  • Downtime Declaration: the procedure to declare downtimes at infrastructure, VOVirtual Organization;, VREVirtual Research Environment., or site level
  • Accounting: the procedure to define the official infrastructure accounting tools
  • Monitoring: the procedure to define the official infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Incident Management: the procedure to manage the creation and resolution of production support tickets

The following Roles are also defined, in order to apply the procedures listed above:

  • Site Manager: the responsible for the resources provided by each site of the infrastructure;
  • Infrastructure Manager: the coordinator of the infrastructure;
  • Support Team: the group of people responsible for the resolution of production support tickets.
