MS38 - Data Transfer Facilities Specification
The Milestone is due the end of the month. CERN has already started editing the related wiki page :
https://gcube.wiki.gcube-system.org/gcube/index.php/Data_Transfer_Facilities
the idea is to have for sure two parts related to the activity performed by CERN and NKUA.
Still to understand if Terradue can contribute to this specification or not.
Giampaolo has created another section on the wiki for Geospatial Facilities and it has been decided to include the Terradue activity in this part of the wiki.
It will be produced another milestone for what they have designed/implemented and it will be officially sent to the EC.
Regarding Data Transfer, there are 2 main use cases that appeared during the clusters WP:
- Data Localization
- Data Replication
It has been decided to have a phone call during the second part of May to discuss about requirements and uses cases.
Terradue suggested to have a look at the FDT ( Fast Data Transfer ) software for the Data Localization part.
D9.1 - iMarine Data Management Software
Lino is going to circulate the template for the Deliverable of type software soon. The Idea is to work starting from next week on the document which will contain all the software produced in the context of the WP9 till end of April.
Ideally the document will be completed ( and reviewed) by mid May.
The software that is still in development phase so is not or will not part of an official release till end of April is not going to be part of the deliverable.
